I should probably introduce myself, or reintroduce myself, depending on how long you’ve been here and which version of my writing you found first.

I’m Chelsea Moye, and I write romance. A lot of different kinds of romance, honestly, because I’ve never really been good at picking one lane and staying in it. (There’s a reason I’m usually a passenger princess, just ask my husband. 😂)

I write sweet, no spice Regency romance as Olivia Marwood. I write paranormal romance as C. J. Beaumont. I’ve also written cowboy romantic suspense, dark romance, and I have a spicy rom-com in the works. I may eventually write dark Regency romance as Scarlett Hastings, too, because apparently I enjoy making things complicated for myself.

If you’re new here, that probably sounds like a lot. If you’ve been here for a while, you already know it’s a lot. 💀

I’m a mood reader. I always have been. Sometimes I want something sweet. Sometimes I want something dark. Sometimes I want historical. Sometimes I want paranormal. Sometimes I want contemporary. Sometimes I want no spice. Sometimes I want ALL the spice.

That’s also how I write.

For a long time, I tried to separate all of that into roughly a bajillion different pen names and different corners of my author life. Some of that still makes sense. Olivia Marwood and C. J. Beaumont are staying because they have specific purposes, and readers know what to expect from those names.

But I’m also retiring several previously used or planned pen names for a lot of reasons. Some of those reasons are practical. Some are personal. Some are just not things I’m going to get into publicly.

The main thing is that I want Chelsea Moye Romance to be the place where everything connects back to me.

Not because every book is the same. They’re DEFINITELY not… but because I’m the person writing them.

I know this has probably been confusing if you’ve followed me for a while. The pen names, the different genres, the pivots, the long silences, the books that came out under one name while I was talking about another one somewhere else… I get it. It has been confusing from the inside, too.

I’m trying to make it less confusing now. I’m also trying to stop making myself smaller just because it would be easier to explain.

I like a lot of different kinds of romance. I write a lot of different kinds of romance. Some of my books are sweet. Some are darker. Some are funny. Some are witchy. Some are historical. Some are contemporary. Some are spicy. Some are not. But they’re all love stories, and they all came from me.

So if you’re new here, welcome. I’m really glad you found me.

If you’ve been here for a while, thank you for sticking around while I figure out how to bring all of this together in a way that actually feels like me.

And if you want to tell me which book, series, pen name, or random internet rabbit hole brought you here, I’d honestly love to know.
