Clara Kensington (On Hold)
Clara Irene Kensington isn’t one person, she’s two. This pen name is shared between me and my cousin, Amanda Clemmons Brown, and the name itself is personal to both of us: Clara comes from our shared biological grandmother, Clara Evelyn Brewton Clemmons, and Irene comes from my maternal grandmother, Hattie Irene Goins Alexander, no blood relation to Mandy, but she loved Mandy like one of her own grandbabies regardless.
We write clean and sweet Regency romance together under this name, inspired by our shared love of Jane Austen and the Brontë sisters, and that same craving for a well-deserved happily-ever-after that got us both hooked on the genre in the first place. Between the two of us, we’re wives, mothers, pet parents, and doting aunts, and if you know either of us in real life, you already know we’re both notorious for spoiling the people and animals in our lives a little too much.
This pen name is currently on hold, not retired for good, just paused, with the possibility of picking it back up together down the road.
