I’ve got some housekeeping to walk you through today, the kind that’s been a long time coming and that I probably should have explained sooner. If you’ve ever followed my Eve Blackmoor author page on Facebook, you may have already noticed a page name change. Let’s talk about why.
A while back, I started planning a pen name called Eve Blackmoor. The idea was to use that name for dark romantasy and dark fairytale retellings, a corner of my brain that’s been begging for its own space for a while now. I had a logo picked out and everything. I had a vision. Most importantly, I was genuinely excited about it… and then plans changed.
I’m not going to get into all the details publicly, some of it’s just not mine to air out, and some of it involves other people’s business more than my own. What I will say is that I ended up selling the logo I’d commissioned to another author, who’s using it to build her own brand now. I hope it serves her well.
So Eve Blackmoor, as a pen name, isn’t happening now. You can learn more about it and my other retired pen names on my Retired Pen Names page.
But here’s the good news: the actual stories I was planning to write under that name aren’t going anywhere. That dark romantasy and fairytale retelling project is moving over to my paranormal romance pen name, C. J. Beaumont.
If that name is new to you, C. J. Beaumont is my USA Today bestselling pen name for paranormal romance and paranormal romantic suspense. The Bayshore Witch Legacy series lives there, and I’m actively working on reviving and continuing it over the coming years.
It’s also home to my adult shifter romance and new adult paranormal academy work.
My shifter romances were actually published under C. J. Beaumont originally, before I made plans to move them over to a separate pen name, Luna Beaumont. I’ve since scrapped that plan, because honestly, who needs that many pen names, and those shifter romances are going to end up back under C. J. Beaumont after I make some tweaks to them. That’s not a project I’m actively working on right now, though, it’s sitting on my to-do list behind higher priority work like my dark romance, cowboy romance, and reviving The Bayshore Witch Legacy.
I’m also migrating the vampire, shifter, magic user, and hybrid academy romance formerly published under the name Caroline Carlisle over to C. J. Beaumont.
The dark romantasy and fairytale retelling project once planned for Eve Blackmoor is joining that same lineup as well, whenever I get around to it.

Fair warning, I’m still in the middle of a full website rebuild, so the individual pages for my active pen names are still under construction, while the retired pen names pages are already fully caught up. Please excuse the mess while I get everything else sorted.
As for the Facebook page itself, rather than letting it sit there orphaned with a pen name attached to it that no longer exists, I’m giving it a new purpose. It’s now Romantasy & Fairytale Retelling Reads, a space for memes, recommendations, and general fangirling over romantasy, dark romantasy and fairytale retellings as a genre, whether or not the books being discussed are mine.
