Hi, I’m Chelsea, and this is home base, my real name, and where my dark romance lives.

I write the obsessive, possessive, feral, and unhinged kind of romance: masked men and so-called “strangers” who already know far too much, Southern small-town gothic vibes thick enough to feel the humidity through the page, cold cases that refuse to stay buried, and forced proximity that starts small and ends somewhere primal. I love a morally gray man who’d burn the world down for her, and I write the kind of MMCs who don’t do anything halfway, the ones who quietly wanted her for years before they ever acted on it, and then go all in without hesitation the second the opening finally comes.

Under this name you’ll also find my upcoming cowboy romantic suspense, currently just one book, a re-release of a story formerly published under the name Lauren Wheeler, with two more planned follow-ups down the line. I’m releasing by demand, so it might be a minute before those next two show up, but they’re coming.

On top of that, there’s a standalone romantic suspense project currently out on submission, and a rom-com in the works that will also release under my real name.

This is also the name I published my first YA fantasy novel with a romantic subplot under. Frost was most recently published by Zimbell House Publishing, and I’m currently working to recover my rights to it so I can re-publish it myself in the future under my C. J. Beaumont pen name because I feel it will fit better under that brand.
