About Me

Hi, I’m Chelsea Moye—a romance author, creative guide, podcast co-host, and chronic illness warrior who believes in the power of stories to connect, heal, and inspire. Growing up as an only child, books weren’t just stories to me; they were my best friends and my constant companions when my real-life friends, Victoria and Christi, couldn’t stay over. Libraries became my sanctuary, and my love for romance was nurtured at a young age by the stories my dad read to me at bedtime, from Alice in Wonderland to The Thousand and One Nights.

In our household, literature was woven into the fabric of daily life. My mom, a high school English teacher for over 30 years, instilled in me a love for reading, writing, and thinking critically about the impact of stories on our world. She taught me to see the magic in storytelling and to understand how words can shape lives, inspire change, and connect us to one another. Now, I’m living my own romance with my husband, Lake, and our son, River, and crafting love stories where readers can escape, dream, and find pieces of magic and connection.

My Multi-Faceted Creative Life

As a writer, community builder, and fan of complex character dynamics, I wear many hats:

Author: I write across multiple genres and pen names to bring readers a range of romantic escapes—from high-heat cowboy romances and paranormal tales to clean, sweet Regency romances. Each pen name reflects a different facet of love and passion, allowing me to connect with readers of all backgrounds and tastes.

Founder of The Chronically Ill Creative: As someone who navigates life with chronic illness, I understand the unique challenges of balancing health and creativity. I created The Chronically Ill Creative to support fellow creatives who share this journey, offering encouragement, resources, and a community where we can thrive together.

Podcast Co-Host of I Will Go Down With This Ship: Together with Heather Cardona, I explore the world of fandom ships and why we love them so much. From analyzing slow-burn romances to dissecting the intricacies of character dynamics, this podcast is a fun, fandom-filled space for those who love to geek out over their favorite fictional relationships.

My Mission & Philosophy as an Author

I believe that romance is for everyone, and I aim to write stories that allow readers to feel seen, uplifted, and entertained. Whether you’re picking up one of my dark, gritty romances or a lighthearted historical love story, my goal is to create worlds where love triumphs and characters grow through connection, resilience, and adventure.

Each style I write—whether it’s high-heat, sweet, fantasy, or suspense—reflects my diverse audience, giving readers a variety of emotional experiences and escapes. I hope my stories remind people of the healing power of love and the magic that exists even in the darkest of times.

Fun Facts & Personal Interests

When I’m not writing, you can uaually find me indulging in a white chocolate mocha—or if it’s close to Christmas time an eggnog chai latte (my favorite seasonal drink!)—, begging my friends and family to play Betrayal at House on the Hill with me, or getting lost in dark, morally grey romances that make you think. I love connecting with readers online, whether we’re chatting about favorite characters, swooning over fictional ships, or bonding over a shared love for storytelling.

Thank you for joining me on this journey, whether as a reader, fellow creative, or fan. I hope my worlds bring you as much joy, escape, and inspiration as they’ve brought me in creating them.
